The combination of Lincomycin and Spectinomycin has an additive mode of action and many cases act as synergistic. Lincomycin has a bacteriostatic mode of action against mainly gram-positive bacteria (Staphylocococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Str.suis, Str.agalactiae, Diplococcus pneumoniae, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Clostridium perfrigens, Clostridium tetani and Pasteurella multocida). Anaerobe microorganisms are very sensitive to Spectromax-L like Bacteroides spp. And Mycoplasmas. Spectinomycin has a broad bacteriostatic spectrum of activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It is fortified with Bromhexine Hydrochloride which is a bronchomucolytic that acts as a thinner and expectorant thereby increasing the volume of bronchial secretion, reducing its viscosity, and improving diffusion of antibiotics.
