The combination of Pyrantel Pamoate and Ivermectin could act as a depolarizing, neuromuscular blocking agent that may cause paralysis of the susceptible parasites. Also this combination may increase the gamma amino butyric acid that may act as an inhibitory neurotransmitter and blocks the post-synaptic stimulation of adjacent neuron of susceptible parasites that could cause its paralysis and death.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
- Dogs – give or administer one tablet for every 11 Kg body weight or below.
- Dogs – administration should be given orally once a month.
Or as prescribed by a licensed veterinarian.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Should not be given to puppies less than 6 weeks old.
- Should not be given to severely debilitated animals.
- Should not be given concurrently with Levamisole, Morantel & Organophosphates.
CAUTION:
Foods, Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics Act prohibits dispensing without prescription by a licensed veterinarian.
PRECAUTION:
- Neurotoxicity is possible in Collie-type breeds of dogs.
- Emesis or vomiting could be observed but the incidence is low.
